Reagan is a proud member of the Kaw Nation of Oklahoma. As a tribal citizen, Reagan understands just how important the issues facing Indian country are today and is dedicated to serving the tribes across the state. That was his goal when he applied to law school and still serves as his goal for his practice today. His initial exposure to the practice of tribal law was the Sovereignty Symposium back in 2018 where he found his inspiration for the type of attorney that he wants to be today, and his commitment to this ideal has remained unwavering.
Reagan received his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2023, where he focused on tribal law and earned the American Indian Law Certificate upon graduation. As a second-year student, he competed in the National Native American Law Student Association (NALSA) Moot Court Competition. In 2022, he wrote on to the American Indian Law Review and was honored with the Outstanding Write On Award the following year.
His longest extracurricular involvement was with OU’s chapter of NALSA, beginning in his first year of law school and continuing throughout his time at OU. In 2020, he served as a first-year class representative, followed by serving as Vice President under Ryan Sailors. In his final year, Reagan was elected President of NALSA, where he worked to increase participation and expand the organization’s presence at OU Law. During his presidency, NALSA hosted the school’s first-ever Tribal Leadership Roundtable, where leaders from across Oklahoma gathered in the newly dedicated Chickasaw Nation Learning Center to discuss sovereignty issues with students and faculty.
During law school, Reagan interned at Devol & Associates, where he was later hired as an associate in 2023. In this role, he conducted legal research on issues of tribal sovereignty and prepared memoranda and legal arguments for court briefs involving recent cases affecting tribal laws and rights. His work also included drafting adjudication reports for Indian Child Welfare (ICW) cases, as well as reviewing and drafting tribal codes for various tribes in Oklahoma.
Since joining All Rise!, Reagan has gained experience across a wide range of cases in both complex civil litigation and tribal law. In the civil arena, he has developed skills in bad faith litigation, construction contract disputes, solar panel litigation, default judgment collections, personal injury matters, and violations of the Oklahoma Real Property Disclosure Act.
On the tribal law side, Reagan has worked on Fee-to-Trust applications, tribal contract disputes, constitutional analyses, election ordinance investigations, tribal code revisions and drafting, land dispute issues, and probate proceedings for the estates of tribal citizens.
As both a tribal citizen and an attorney, Reagan is eager to continue expanding his knowledge and skills in order to best serve his community.
